No. Carbine length buffer springs are typically used with collapsible stocks with carbine receiver extensions. Rifle length buffer springs are typically used with A2 and similar fixed stocks with longer rifle receiver extensions.
In other words, if you have a standard collapsible stock with a carbine receiver extension, you would choose a carbine length buffer spring — regardless of whether you are running a carbine, mid, or rifle-length gas system.
